To program an ATA PTX-4 remote, press and hold the blue Door Code button on the garage opener motor (or SW1/SW2 on the receiver). While holding, press the button on the new remote you wish to use for two seconds, release for two seconds, then press the same remote button again. Release the Door Code button to finish.
For most ATA remotes like the PTX-4, remove the screws or casing cover to access the battery compartment. Replace the battery (typically a 12V A23 or CR2032, depending on the model) ensuring the positive and negative ends match the markings.
To delete all stored remotes: Turn off power to the motor. Press and hold the Door Code (or SW1) button. Turn the power back on while continuing to hold the button. The LED should illuminate or flash after a few seconds to indicate the memory has been cleared. Release the button and test to confirm.
