Uppsetning
1. Að setja upp rafhlöðuna
Open the battery chamber cover located at the bottom of the camera. Insert the EN-EL9a rechargeable Li-ion battery, ensuring the correct orientation as indicated by the arrow inside the compartment. Close the cover securely until it clicks.
2. Minniskort sett í
Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera. Insert an SD (Secure Digital) memory card with the label facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place. Close the cover firmly.

Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens. Align the mounting mark on the lens with the lens mount index on the camera body. Rotate the lens counter-clockwise until it clicks into place. Do not force the lens.

The D40X offers both autofocus and manual focus. To autofocus, half-press the shutter-release button. The camera will focus on the subject in the selected focus area. For manual focus, set the lens to 'M' and rotate the focus ring until the subject appears sharp in the viewfinnandi.
4. Myndataka
Once focused, fully press the shutter-release button to take a picture. Ensure the camera is held steady to prevent blur.

Always use the supplied Nikon charger for the EN-EL9a battery. Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures. If storing the camera for an extended period, remove the battery.
4. Geymsla
Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Use a camera bag or case to protect it from dust and physical damage.
