Uppsetning

1. Uppsetning rafhlöðu

Insert the provided Li-ion battery into the compartment on the back of the radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place. To remove, slide the release latch and gently pull the battery out.

2. Loftnetsfesting

Screw the desired antenna (either the original or the 48cm tactical antenna) clockwise onto the connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Hleðsla rafhlöðunnar

The UV-16R offers two charging methods:

• Bein hleðsla með USB-C: Connect the provided Type-C charger cable directly to the USB-C port on the side of the radio. You can use a power bank, PC, car charger, or any USB adapter.
• Hleðslustöð: Place the radio into the provided charger base. Ensure the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.

4. Attaching the PTT Microphone

Connect the single PTT waterproof microphone to the accessory jack on the side of the radio. Ensure a firm connection for proper operation.

Rotate the top knob clockwise to power on the radio and increase volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.
