3. Uppsetning

3.1 Case Installation

1. Carefully place your iPhone 15 Pro into the Khronos case.
2. Secure the case around your smartphone using the four screws located in each corner.

3.2 Accessory Mounting Points

The Khronos case features seven pairs of mounting points around its sides. Most points include electronic contact points to pass power through when using power sources or accessories that require power. Note that the bottom two points function as one single mounting point, and the top two as a second single mounting point.

3.3 Festing handfangs

To attach a handle (e.g., small wooden handle, NATO bracket handle, or top handle):

1. Press the release button on the handle to retract the small metal tabs.
2. Align the handle with any of the mounting points on the case. Ensure the lever (if present) is facing you for proper locking.
3. Press the handle firmly into the mounting point until the tabs engage.
4. Secure the handle by pressing down on the lever.

3.4 Focus PD Handle

The Focus PD Handle provides power to the case and phone, and offers control options for zoom and focus within the Blackmagic app.

1. Connect the USB-C cable from the Focus PD Handle to the iPhone's USB-C port.
2. Attach the Focus PD Handle to a side mounting point on the case using the quick-release mechanism.
3. To power on the handle, hold down the record button. The battery indicator lights will show the charge level.
4. Double-tap the function button to switch between Blackmagic app control (red LED) and native iPhone camera app control (green LED).
5. To pair with the Blackmagic app: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone. Go to Settings > Accessories in the Blackmagic app, select the handle's name, and confirm pairing.
6. To use with the native camera app: Double-tap the function button until the LED is green. You will have shutter and record control, but not focus or zoom.
7. To clear the paired list (for pairing with multiple phones), triple-press the function button until the handle flashes red and green.
8. To control power delivery via USB-C, hold the function button.

3.5 Khronos Quick Release USB-C Hub

The USB-C Hub expands the connectivity of your setup.

1. Attach the USB-C Hub to the bottom of your tripod via the Arca plate or a 1/4"-20 thread with locating points.
2. Connect the iPhone to the USB-C Hub using the provided short USB-C cable.
3. The hub provides a PD USB-C port for external power, two additional USB-C ports for accessories or data transfer, an HDMI port for video output, and a 3.5mm microphone jack for external audio.
4. If using the Focus PD Handle with the USB-C Hub, connect the Focus PD Handle to a side mounting point, and then connect the shorter USB-C cable from the Focus PD Handle into the PD USB-C port on the hub. This allows the Focus PD Handle to power the hub and the iPhone.

3.6 Khronos Cooling System

The cooling system helps prevent your iPhone from overheating during prolonged use.

1. Attach the cooling module to the back of the iPhone case via MagSafe. It will align magnetically.
2. The cooling system can draw power from the case itself via the electronic contact pins on the bottom (if the case is powered by an accessory like the Focus PD Handle) or via its own USB-C port for external power.
3. Once powered, the fans will activate to provide cooling and can also charge the iPhone via MagSafe.

3.7 Khronos Mini LED Panel

The Mini LED Panel provides additional lighting.

1. Attach the Mini LED Panel to any mounting point on the case that has electronic contacts. Note the lip on the side of the light, which ensures it mounts in one specific orientation.
2. Hold the power button on top to turn the light on. Single taps will cycle through intensity levels.
3. This accessory has no internal battery and requires power from the case (via electronic contacts) or an external power source.

3.8 SSD Holder, Cold Shoe Receiver, and NATO Rail

These accessories provide additional mounting and storage options.

• SSD Holder: Connects to any mounting point and allows you to mount various SSDs for external recording.

2. Magnetic ND Filters: The included FSND 0.6 and FSND 1.2 filters connect magnetically to the filter tray holder. These allow you to shoot in bright outdoor environments without adjusting shutter speed. To remove, simply pull them off.
3. Lens Mounts: Tilta offers Moment M-mount, T-series by Photo Gear, and 17mm threaded lens mount options. These snap into place over the iPhone's lenses, similar to the filter tray holder. Mount lenses by popping them in and twisting.
